Gustav-Adolf Haas

Gustav-Adolf Haas (* 20th June 1935 in Eisern ; † 24. March 2013 in Titisee-Neustadt ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Life and work

After completing primary school, Gustav-Adolf Haas completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and studied civil engineering as a second educational path. He then worked in the administration of the Siegen district . From 1964 to 1967 he was the head of the building department in Frankenberg (Eder) and from 1967 to 1999 city architect in Titisee-Neustadt . Since 1999 he has been a freelance civil engineer and expert. In addition, he was on the board of the traffic watch for over 40 years , since 1989 chairman of the workers welfare , chairman of the VdK and 21 years chairman of the Neustadt ski club. Haas was married and had five children.

politics

Haas belonged to the municipal council of Titisee-Neustadt. From 1992 to 1996 and from 2001 to November 5, 2009 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . He represented the Freiburg I state constituency and was deputy chairman of the petitions committee. Walter Krögner succeeded him as a member of parliament . In the council of the district Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald he also spent 25 years, four of them as chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.

Honors

Haas had been an honorary citizen of Titisee-Neustadt since 2010.
