Gustav-Adolf Prince

Gustav-Adolf Prinz (born February 21, 1901 in Oesinghausen ; † June 27, 1961 in Gelsenkirchen-Buer ) was a German politician of the KPD and from 1946 to 1950 a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament .

Life

Gustav-Adolf Prinz completed his studies in the Soviet Union after attending elementary school and business school , became a member of the KPD in 1919 and was involved in the youth movement until 1927. In 1928 he was active as secretary of the KPD and from 1930 to 1932 he was a member of the provincial parliament for the province of Westphalia . In March 1933 he was arrested by the National Socialists and imprisoned in the Sonnenburg concentration camp . After his release he lived illegally in the Oberbergisches Land until April 1945 . After the Second World War he was again active as party secretary of the KPD and was the first chairman of the KPD in the Unna-Hamm district. From October 2, 1946 to June 17, 1950, he was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament .
