Gustav Adolf Hahn
Gustav Adolf Hahn (born July 11, 1819 in Altenburg , † November 1, 1872 in Dresden ) was a German architect and architectural painter.
Hahn worked as an architect in Dresden from 1844 onwards, and around 1850 began to paint views of the old buildings based on the model of Max Hauschild (1810–1895). In 1863 he worked as a drawing teacher at the artillery school and later with the cadet corps in Dresden. Afterwards he was appointed professor for ornamentation at the Royal Saxon Polytechnic School in Dresden .
Gustav Adolf Hahn painted views of Saxon castles: ( Wechselburg , Rochsburg , Kriebstein ) as well as of German cathedrals and monasteries: ( Meißen , Altzella , Hildesheim , Erfurt , Bamberg ) and also of Italy : ( Venice , Rome ).
