Gustav Adolf War

Gustav Adolf Krieg (born June 29, 1948 in Dortmund ) is a German church musician , pastor and professor . He studied theology in Münster and Bonn , as well as church music in Cologne .

Teaching

During his habilitation, Krieg was a research assistant in the Department of Church History of the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Bonn with Johann Friedrich Gerhard Goeters , where he held lectures on the subject of churches, theology and music in addition to prose seminars on church history.

At the beginning of the 1990s, Krieg was a pastor in the office for worship of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland .

Today, Krieg teaches liturgical organ playing , hymnology , liturgy and music history at the music academies in Düsseldorf (until 2014) and Cologne, as well as practical theology as an adjunct professor at the University of Bonn. In 2005 he was appointed church music director. One of his students is Manuel Gera .
