Gustav Budjuhn

Gustav Budjuhn (born November 7, 1869 in Prussian Holland , East Prussia province , † June 19, 1939 in Berlin-Schöneberg ) was a German politician (DNVP).

Live and act

After attending school, Budjuhn studied economics at the University of Erlangen and completed his studies with a dissertation. Then he worked in the judiciary. From January 1901 to 1920 he was the syndic of the Chamber of Crafts for the district of Bromberg . In Bromberg he was also a city councilor. There were also posts as director of an East German cooperative association and as the first chairman of the East German Association of Craftsmen and Tradesmen. Budjuhn also founded the Association of German Craftsmen in Poland and was editor of the Bromberger Handwerkerzeitung. During the First World War, Budjuhn was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class with a black ribbon and the Cross of Merit for War Aid.

From April 17 to August 1, 1920 he was syndic of the newly established Chamber of Crafts in the border region of Posen-West Prussia in Schneidemühl and from August 1, 1920 to April 1, 1922 he was syndic at the Chamber of Crafts and Trades in Hanover.

After the First World War, Budhuhn devoted himself increasingly to politics. For the German National People's Party (DNVP) Budjuhn was a member of the Prussian state constituent assembly from 1919 to 1921. From 1921 to 1928 Budjuhn was a member of the Reichstag in Berlin, in which he represented constituency 4 (Potsdam I).
