Gustav Eggena

Gustav Eggena (born August 30, 1850 in Marburg , † June 10, 1915 in Munich ) was a German landscape and genre painter .

He was born the son of a builder. Gustav Eggena studied at the Kassel Art Academy and since May 24, 1874 at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Albrecht Christoph Wilhelm von Diez .

After completing his studies, he belonged to the wider circle around Wilhelm Maria Hubertus Leibl .

Gustav Eggena worked a. a. for the "flying leaves" and the "gazebo" .
