Gustav Haring
Gustav Häring (born December 12, 1927 in Wegscheid ; † October 18, 2019 ) was a Bavarian administrative lawyer and police officer . From 1983 to 1987 he was police chief of Munich .
Life
Häring came from the Bavarian Forest and studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich after the war . After graduating, he initially worked as a lawyer . From 1966 worked in the presidium of the Bavarian border police . He headed the Bavarian border police from 1972 to 1983. From August 1, 1983 to December 31, 1987, he was then police chief of Munich before he retired.
