Gustav Harmony (born November 4, 1875 in Veckerhagen , † February 13, 1959 in Berlin-Zehlendorf ) was a German politician ( DNVP ).

Life and work

After attending the Realprogymnasium in Eschwege , Harmony joined the Reichspost as a postal assistant in 1891 . He became a postal assistant in 1896 and passed the administrative examination for the telegraph and telephone service in 1905. In April 1920 he switched to the Reich Ministry of Post in Berlin-Lichterfelde as a ministerial officer . Here he was appointed telegraph director in 1929 and post councilor in 1934. In addition, he worked as an employee of daily newspapers and specialist journals.

Harmony joined the DNVP and was chairman of the Reich Committee of the German National Civil Service in the mid-1920s. Harmony was a member of the German Reichstag from December 1924 to May 1928 and again from July 1932 to November 1933 .
