Gustav Kagemann (life dates unknown) was a German football player .

Kagemann belonged to VfL Halle in 1896 as a goalkeeper , for whom he played point games in the championships organized by the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs from 1925 to 1927 in the Saale district. After two seasons in fifth and seventh place, he left the club and moved to local rivals FC Wacker Halle for the 1927/28 season , with whom he finished tied with Borussia Halle , but won the decider for first place 1-0. With this success, his team took part in the final round of the Central German Championship , which was played in the knockout system with the 28 Gaumeisters in two preliminary rounds, the quarter and semi-finals, before the final pairing was determined. After the successful preliminary round matches on March 11th and 25th, 1928 2-1 over FC Germania Halberstadt and 3-2 over Naumburger SV 05 , his team also won the quarter-finals and semi-finals on April 1st and 15th, 1928 4-0 each over FC Viktoria Leipzig and FC Wacker Gera . A week later, FC Wacker Halle won the final at Dresdner SC 1-0. He was then qualified with his team as a participant in the final round of the German championship . On his debut on July 8, 1928 in the home stadium at the Zoo, he had to accept three goals against FC Bayern Munich in the round of 16 and thus retired from the competition.

Selection team

As a player in the selection team of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs, he took part in the competition for the Federal Cup, the cup competition for the selection teams of the regional associations.

As a player in VfL Halle 1896, he first reached the final scheduled for October 4, 1925 in the Leipzig VfB Stadium , which lost 1: 2 in front of 30,000 spectators against the team of the South German Football Association , later on March 6, 1927 in Bahrenfelder Stadium in Altona , which was won 1-0 in front of 18,000 spectators against the national team of the North German Football Association .
