Gustav Loges

Gustav Loges (born July 21, 1854 in Marne (Holstein) , † March 20, 1919 in Pommritz ) was a German agricultural chemist .

Life

Loges studied chemistry at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . In 1876 he became a member of the Corps Hildeso-Guestphalia Göttingen . After becoming a Dr. phil. After receiving his doctorate , he worked at the agricultural research station in Kiel and analyzed water and forest soils with Adolph Emmerling . Loges devoted himself particularly to crystallography and electrochemistry . From 1890 he headed the agricultural research station in Poznan . In 1895 he took over the management of the agricultural research station in Pommritz . Here he continued the work of Eduard Heiden and Paul Bretschneider . Hugo Neubauer was his assistant around 1895.
