Gustav von Faltzburg

Gustav von Faltzburg (born November 25, 1650 in Stettin , † October 11, 1719 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish lawyer and most recently President of the Wismar Tribunal .

Life

Gustav von Faltzburg was a son of the Swedish State Secretary in Pomerania, who was ennobled in 1648, Johann von Faltzburg (1609–1681), and his second wife Anna Eleonora Hagemeister (1623–1660). He became a royal court squire in 1676. In 1687 he became a member of the Execution Commission. The following year he became assessor of Svea hovrätt and in 1696 its vice-president.

In 1701 he went to Kronobergs län as Landshövding . On August 30, 1710, he and his older brother Axel were raised to the status of Swedish baron . In the same year he was appointed President of the Wismar Tribunal.

Gustav von Faltzburg died in Stockholm in 1719 and was buried in the Nikolaikirche . With his wife Christina Skyttehjelm († 1729) he had four sons and three daughters. Three children died very young.
