Gustav von Hagenow (District Administrator)

Gustav Christian Friedrich Johann Wilhelm von Hagenow (born January 8, 1841 in Langenfelde , Western Pomerania, † March 23, 1908 in Rostock ) was a German administrative lawyer, manorial estate owner and parliamentarian.

Life

Gustav von Hagenow was born as the son of Gustav von Hagenow, who later became a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly . He studied law at the Royal University of Greifswald and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität . In 1861 he became a member of the Corps Pomerania Greifswald and the Corps Hansea Bonn . After completing his studies and obtaining a doctorate as a Dr. iur. he entered the Prussian civil service. From 1882 to 1892 he was district administrator of the Grimmen district . After leaving office, he managed his manors Glewitz and Langenfelde. Most recently he lived in Rostock.

Hagenow sat from 1879 to 1882 as a member of the Stralsund constituency 2 (Grimmen, Greifswald) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party .
