Gustavo Ehlers
Gustavo Ehlers ( Gustavo Ehlers Tröstel; born June 23, 1925 in Santiago de Chile ) is a former Chilean sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .
In 1947 he won the South American Athletics Championships in Rio de Janeiro . The following year he was eliminated from the Olympic Games in London in the individual competition and in the 4-by-400-meter relay in the preliminary run. In 1949 in Lima he was again South American champion.
In 1951 he was sixth in the individual competition at the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires and won silver with the Chilean 4 x 400 meter relay.
The following year he defended his title over 400 m at the South American Championships in Buenos Aires in 1952 and won bronze over 200 m .
He set his personal best over 400 m of 47.9 s in 1951.
