Good Ollesheim

The house

The Ollesheim estate is located near Eschweiler over Feld , a district of the Nörvenich municipality in the Düren district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ), east of the village in the field markings.

history

The courtyard was built before or in the 13th century. In 1446, the Antoniterkloster in Cologne bought the manor ; at the beginning of the 16th century they are still mentioned as owners. At the beginning of the 19th century, the old farm was demolished and a new manor was built on the same site.

Until December 31, 1860, the seat of the Ollesheim mayor was on the estate. The farm is still farmed by the Peill family. Since the state election in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 is Patricia Peill member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Building

It is a four-wing brick complex , the buildings of which are grouped around an almost square inner courtyard. The main house is a two-story brick house with an attic and a gable roof . The lattice windows and doors are framed with bluestone walls. The double-leaf door with lattice skylight is in its original condition.

The farm building to the right of the gate passage is also made of bricks, as are the stables and barns. These buildings are arranged in a three-wing complex that opens up to the main building.

To the right of the courtyard is a two-storey, gable-free residential building with a gable roof. This is followed by the park and hereditary funeral and the Termeline Chapel . The entire system is provided with a yellow-brown sludge coating.

On March 20, 1985, the farm was entered in the monument list of the municipality of Nörvenich under No. 25.

traffic

Until 1968 the estate had a connection to the railway line from Distelrath via Nörvenich and Zülpich to Embken with the Ollesheim station .
