Guthrie McClintic
Guthrie McClintic (born August 6, 1893 in Seattle , Washington , † October 29, 1961 in Sneden's Landing , Rockland County , New York ) was an American actor , film and theater producer .
Life
Guthrie McClintic studied at Washington University in St. Louis and later at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City . At the age of 28 he was a "Separate Beds marriage" with the lesbian Broadway - actress Katharine Cornell one (1893-1974). Although the marriage between McGuthrie and Cornell was never consummated, the two actors were close friends. They were considered a dream couple in America in the 1920s and 1930s. McClintic died in 1961 of complications from cancer .
