The Gutiérrez reef ( Spanish Bajo Gutiérrez ) is about 3.6 m below the sea level lying reef off the north coast of the Trinity Peninsula on northern reaches of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of Duroch Islands , it is 300 m north-northeast of the northern end of Kopaitic Island .
Scientists of the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–1948) named it after a boatman involved in this research trip .
