Guy Dardenne (born October 19, 1954 ) is a former Belgian football player and current coach .

Player career

Club career

Dardenne began his career at Standard Liège , where he was under contract until 1976. The Belgian then moved to RAA La Louvière , where he was also under contract for three years. After one year of guest appearances at SC Lokeren and RWD Molenbeek , he joined Club Bruges in 1981 . In 1984 he returned to Liège and played for Les Rouches for two more years. From 1986 to 1994 he played in lower-class Belgian leagues. Dardenne was under contract with the following clubs: RFC Seraing , Royal Francs Borains, UR Namur and RJ Rochefortoise FC. In his entire playing career Dardenne could not achieve a title.

National team career

Dardenne took part in the 1980 European Football Championship in Italy and was runner-up with the team. In total, he ran eleven times for the Belgian national team .

Coaching career

Guy Dardenne has also been a football coach since the late 1980s , but primarily with lower-class Belgian (provincial) clubs.
