Guye Adola Idemo (born October 20, 1990 in Adola , Oromiyaa region) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in road runs ranging from 10 km to marathons .

Career

Adola won the bronze medal at the 2014 World Half Marathon Championships in Copenhagen . With a time of 59:06 minutes, he won the Delhi half marathon in 2014 .

On September 24, 2017, he surprisingly achieved second place in the Berlin Marathon as a debutant over the marathon route with a time of 2:03:46 h. This made him the fastest debutant and seventh fastest runner over this distance.
