György Garics (soccer player, 1954)
György Garics (born April 24, 1954 , † June 9, 2016 in Szombathely ) was a Hungarian football player .
Garics played in the 1977/78 season for SZEOL AK in Szeged and in the following season for MTK Budapest in the first Hungarian league. For Haladás VSE from Szombathely he completed 48 games in the national championship between 1981 and 1983.
Garics is the father of the Austrian national player György Garics . At the age of 62, a few days before his son competed for Austria at the European Championships, he succumbed to cancer.
