Chief of Eigener Herd was a German magazine that dealt in a critical, humorous and satirical way with the topic of food and drink and the food industry .
The editors were the Stuttgart chef Vincent Klink (* 1949) and the Berlin satirist and writer Wiglaf Droste (1961–2019). The “culinary combat script” (self-deprecating self-promotion) has been published quarterly since 1999 by the Stuttgart publisher Edition Vincent Klink. Each issue was designed by a different cartoonist or illustrator.
history
From 2000 to 2001 Tom Wolf was the responsible editor of the paper, then Carola Rönneburg . From 2007, the editor was Vincent Klink in the "corporate headquarters", a two square meter corner in the kitchen of his restaurant. The frequency of publication was defined as "as quarterly as possible".
When the 25th edition appeared in 2005, there was an exhibition in the Caricatura in the Kassel KulturBahnhof. At the end of 2013, the publication of the magazine ended with the double issue 55/56.
