Receptions
- Grazie mille!
The Cicero found that you can learn a lot “about everyday Italian rituals in Germany” when “Carola Rönneburg is on the trail of the roots of German Italo fetishism”. Rönneburg not only reports on the purchase of olive oil and the history of the ice cream parlor , but also the situation of the Italian guest workers in the "barracks of the Wolfsburg VW works " and the "historical change between repulsion (garlic) and attraction (' Marina, Marina ')" .
For Rudolf Walther ( Frankfurter Rundschau ), Rönneburg's book, “a different kind of migration story”, tells in “lean, not a word wasting prose” how the “Italians beautified our lives”. The author also clears up legends like “ dolce far niente ”.
- Above was the Apennines, below I lay down
According to Klaus Cäsar Zehrer's impression , the 61 poems previously published on the satire and entertainment page of the taz in Rönneburg's anthology are primarily devoted to the subjects of gastronomy , alcohol consumption , vacation and idleness , although “in the book there is no shrill, wild or extreme to ”, but“ some very successful examples ”of“ careful craftsmanship and elegant style ”could be found.
