Grazie mille!

The Cicero found that you can learn a lot “about everyday Italian rituals in Germany” when “Carola Rönneburg is on the trail of the roots of German Italo fetishism”. Rönneburg not only reports on the purchase of olive oil and the history of the ice cream parlor , but also the situation of the Italian guest workers in the "barracks of the Wolfsburg VW works " and the "historical change between repulsion (garlic) and attraction (' Marina, Marina ')" .

For Rudolf Walther ( Frankfurter Rundschau ), Rönneburg's book, “a different kind of migration story”, tells in “lean, not a word wasting prose” how the “Italians beautified our lives”. The author also clears up legends like “ dolce far niente ”.
