In the TV show session Fastnacht in Franconia , he performed, among other things, with his star role “New Year's Eve Capone”.

In 2006, Handel replaced Detlef Wagenthaler , the long-time moderator of Carnival in Franconia , who resigned after 14 years for health reasons. Bernd Händel was unanimously chosen from 30 candidates by the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation - Studio Franken and the Fastnacht-Verband Franken .

Bernd Handel also works as a spokesperson for radio and commercials in German recording studios . All the great politicians from Willy Brandt to Franz Josef Strauss to Gerhard Schröder and Edmund Stoiber are part of his repertoire as voice imitators .
