The Hausackerhof or Hot Sack is a homestead belonging to Kleinostheim on the edge of the Bavarian Spessart .

geography

The Hausackerhof is located between Hörstein and Kleinostheim in a primeval Main valley , south of the presumed location of the submerged village of Bruchhausen . The European cultural trail Dettinger Te Deum , which comes from Dettingen and was built to commemorate the Battle of Dettingen , ends at the Häuserackerhof . The orchestral work of the same name dedicated Handel the victorious British.

Surname

For a long time it was believed that the name HOTACKERHOF comes from the fact that during the battle of Dettingen in 1743 there was "hot" fighting in the fields towards Kleinostheim. That is why the field is said to have been called HOTERACKER . However, this thesis has been proven wrong.

During research, local researchers found out that the fields in the 13th century under the name Häuseracker belonged to a village that no longer exists today. This town could have been Bruchhausen , which was nearby at the time . Others believe that the fields belonged to the castle , which was also devastated , on the opposite side of the Main. The farms built on the huts were given the name huts .

history

At the current location of the farms there was already an accommodation hut for forest workers in 1743. After the war of 43 a barn was added. Later a house was built and a tenant moved into it. This set up a distillery . Strollers liked to stop by and have homemade drinks served. This is how a typical hedge economy came into being . In 1873 the owner sold the farm to two brothers who shared the property between them and built a second house with stables. The brother who owned the older farm bought the concession for an inn in 1900. In 1926 the courtyard had to be completely rebuilt after a fire disaster . The old, completely destroyed distillery was torn down. Politically, the courtyards belong to Kleinostheim , while in church terms they belong to Dettingen .
