The Håndboldligaen 2009/10 (officially: Jack & Jones Ligaen ) was the 74th season of the Håndboldligaen, the highest league in Danish men's handball. AaB Håndbold won the Danish championship .
GOG Svendborg TGI withdrew its team from play during the season for financial reasons.

Championship round
The teams in the first eight places are divided into two groups. The teams in first to fourth place are awarded additional points that they can take with them into the round. The winners of both groups meet in three games; the winner of this round is the Danish champion. At the same time, the two runners-up in the groups play third place in the Danish championship. The champion and runner-up qualify for the 2010/11 Champions League, the third-placed and fourth-placed finishers after the championship round are qualified for the 2010/11 EHF Cup.

Relegation round
Together with the teams in second, third and fourth place in the 1st division, the five teams in ninth to fourteen places play for free places in the 2010/11 first division. After the preliminary round, the teams are divided into two groups of 4 teams each. The first two of this round qualify for the Håndboldligaen 2010/11, while the third two play off the last free place in the league. It can thus - in addition to the direct relegated - come to zero to three other relegated from the Håndboldligaen 2009/10 in the 1st division.
