Héctor O. Calegaris (born June 27, 1915 in Buenos Aires , † March 3, 2008 ) was an Argentine sailor .
successes
Héctor Calegaris took part in the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 in the dragon boat class . Besides Jorge del Río Salas, he was a crew member of the Argentinean boat of skipper Jorge Salas Chávez . In their boat Tango they took second place with 5715 points, only eleven points ahead of the Italian boat Venilia , and thus won the silver medal. The Greeks in the Nirefs became Olympic champions . With del Río Salas and Salas Chavez, Calegaris had won the gold medal at the Pan American Games in Chicago a year earlier .
