Héctor Resola (born February 26, 1953 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

The 1.73-meter-tall offensive player Resola played for the Montevidean club Racing at least in 1971 . In 1973 he moved to France . There he was initially under contract from 1973 to US Nœux-les-Mines . In the 1975/76 and 1976/77 seasons he was then involved with the French club FC Lorient . There he was used 41 times in Division 2 and scored 19 hits. He then moved within France and again joined the league rivals US Nœux-les-Mines. With this he rose at the end of the 1977/78 season, but remained loyal to the northern French trained by Gérard Houllier in the following third division season. The direct ascent followed. In the two following seasons further appearances in the French second division for Resola are recorded with this club. In the 1979/80 season he was the second most successful shooter of his team behind Joachim Marx (13 goals) with eleven goals . In total, he played 63 second division games for the club from Nœux-les-Mines , where he hit the opposing net 18 times.

National team

Resola was a member of the Uruguayan junior national team , which took part in the 1971 South American Junior Championship in Paraguay and finished second. In the course of the tournament he was not used by coach Rodolfo Zamora .

At least in 1984 and 1985 Resola worked as a journalist in Uruguay.
