Hélène Vincent (* 9. September 1943 in Paris , France as Jocelyne Hélène Nain ) is a French actress and theater director .

Life

Hélène Vincent began acting in theater and film when she was young. During this time she met her future husband, the theater director Jean-Pierre Vincent , with whom she had a son, Thomas Vincent , who is also a theater director. After studying acting at cours Raymond-Girard , she was only seen sporadically on the screen and more often in the theater. Inspired by her husband, she made her debut as a theater director in 1977 with Frank Wedekind's play Franziska at the Théâtre national de Strasbourg . Since then she has directed several plays by Henrik Ibsen , Victor Hugo and Bertolt Brecht . For the production of August Strindberg's 1911 Fraulein Julie at the Parisian Théâtre de l'Atelier , she received a 2006 nomination for Best Director for the French Molière Theater Prize. She has also received a Molière nomination for Best Actress twice .

She has appeared on the screen in films such as My Life in Pink , The Little House Tyrant and Life is a Long, Calm River . While for the latter at the presentation of César in 1989 as Best Supporting Actress Award.
