The Hôtel de Ville in Arbois , a town in the French department of Jura in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comte , in the 18th century Ursuline convent built. The building has been a protected monument ( Monument historique ) since 1993 .

history

The Ursulines settled in Arbois in 1617 and, between 1764 and 1768, enlarged their church according to the plans of the architect Jean-Charles Colombot . During the French Revolution , the monastery was secularized and in 1802 the town of Arbois became the owner of the buildings. It set up the municipal administration and the district court.
