From the 17th century, clay pits were used to extract clay for the production of high-quality ceramics by the pottery craftsmen based in Dippoldiswalde, in the same year a stone table served as a resting place for the Electors of Saxony and his comrades, and is still on one in the 18th century Map on the southern edge of the heather in the direction of Paulshain. The Höckendorfer chief forester: Rudolf Carl ERAS, had the WETTIN-PLatz built in 1889, which also planted an oak here.
