The Hörndlhütte ( 1390  m above sea level ), also Hörndlehütte or Hörnlehütte , is a mountain hut built in 1911 in the Starnberg section of the German Alpine Club in the Ammergau Alps . It is located near Bad Kohlgrub in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district on the northwest side of the Hörnles and is one of the few Alpine Club huts that are open all year round (except April and November). The hut was last extensively renovated in 2004.
