Hünerbach is a district of the local community Kelberg in the Vulkaneifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
Geographical location
Hünerbach lies on the heights of the Eifel east of the main town. The federal highway 410 runs through Hünerbach .
history
Hünerbach got its place name from its location "behind" the Trierbach. This formed the border between Kurtrier and Kurköln , only Hünerbach belonged to Kurtrier as the only village east of the Trierbach . The local area is bordered by two branches of the short Hünerbach , which flows into the Trierbach on the eastern edge of Kelberg.
In the 16th century, Hünerbach is mentioned with seven fire places. In 1688 the place received a chapel, which was replaced by a new building in 1925/26. In 1817 Hünerbach had 60 inhabitants, in 1840 70 inhabitants. On January 1, 1970, the previously independent local community Hünerbach was incorporated into the local community Kelberg.
