Hützemert used to have a train station on the Siegburg – Olpe line . There was passenger traffic until 1979, in 1997 this section was completely closed. This station is the only one of three former stations in Drolshagen whose reception building is still standing. It was privately owned until a few years ago and has been a listed building since 2008. In 2012, the Hützemert village association began to renovate the building from the ground up. As part of the "Bergisches Panorama Cycle Path ", the dilapidated train station became an attractive snack station and a village hall that is used by the residents for club activities and private celebrations. A freight car has been standing on the site since the railway line was closed, which was integrated into the building as part of the renovation and made into the stage of the village hall. Furthermore, a flat wagon was converted into a terrace. The picture is rounded off by another, previously unused freight car and an old steam storage locomotive.
