Hōki (era)

Hōki ( Japanese 宝 亀 ) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from October 770 to January 781 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Jingo-Keiun , the following era is called Ten'ō . The era falls during the reign of the emperor ( Tennō ) Kōnin , not to be confused with the eponymous era designation.

The first day of the Hōki era corresponds to October 23, 770, the last day was January 29, 781. The Hōki era lasted 12 years or 3752 days.
