history

Growth until 1928

In 1899 it was incorporated into the Bodencreditanstalt group .

In the last year of the First World War , a paper factory in Neudeck , a jute factory in Trieste as well as stakes in a jute factory in Bielitz and a textile factory in Eger were acquired. In 1919 a founding participation in the Pielachberger hemp spinning mill and twine factory Ges.mbH near Melk followed as well as the takeover of the first Austrian mechanical hemp spinning mill, twine and rope factory Lieser & Duschnitz in Neuda .

At the beginning of the 1920s, the group spanned six countries and had 6,500 employees. In 1922, the first Hungarian jute spinning and weaving mill, founded in October 1889 in Neufeld an der Leitha, was taken over . In 1928 the highest level was reached in Neufeld with 1988 employees. Fortunately, the company suffered no damage during the Second World War, so production in Neufeld started up again soon after the end of the war. After 1945 the ownership shares outside of Austria were lost.

Shrinkage after 1951

In 1959 the Wiener Werke was shut down and the machines were transported to Neufeld and Neuda.

In 1971/72 the jute spinning and weaving mill in Neufeld was shut down and a factory for the finishing of textile yarn was set up with the remaining machines and a German partner of the textile equipment company Schroers (since 2007 TAG Composites & Carpets GmbH ), HITIAG stopped at the successor company AUTEXA 50 percent.
Parts of the former HITIAG factory halls have been used as a production site by Myrtle Mill, today's Österreichische Kuvertindustrie Ges.mbH, since 1972 ; in 1989 this production was relocated to
Hirm .

HITIAG clock tower monument in Neufeld an der Leitha

On July 31, 1985, when AUTEXA went bankrupt, the existence of HITIAG in Neufeld ended. In 1996, the demolition of the former factory halls began and in September 1997 a memorial was erected from the clock tower of the former HITIAG: The clock tower was depicted as if the entire factory had sunk and only the same would protrude. The memorial is intended to remind future generations of the industrial heyday of the former industrial stronghold of Neufeld

In 1995 the turnover of Lambacher Hitiag AG collapsed by half and fell to ATS 266.45 million . At that time the company only consisted of Lambacher Hitiag AG as the parent company of August Kohl & Wäntig Seilerwaren-Handels-GesmbH ( Vienna ) and of Karolina Kft. ( Budapest ).

Relocations after 2001

In 2001 the factory in Neuda was closed and wet yarn production was relocated to the Tolna factory , followed by the shutdown of production in Stadl-Paura, where only the corporate headquarters of Lambacher Hitiag Leinen AG remained .

The current company name is LHL Immobilien Beteiligungs-GmbH
