Tolna [ ˈtolnɒ ] ( German : Tolnau ) is a town in the county of the same name in Hungary .
location
Tolna has about 12,000 inhabitants and is about 130 kilometers south of Budapest . In the vicinity of Tolna are Paks , the county capital Szekszárd and some municipalities, e.g. B. Fadd , Bogyiszló and Fácánkert .

The city is made up of the districts Tolna and Mözs , whereby Mözs used to be an independent place.
history
The area around Tolna was already settled in the times of the Romans , who probably built a border fort called Alta Ripa , which was removed by the Danube in post-ancient times . During the reign of the Árpáden royal family in Hungary , the village was called Thelena and later renamed Tolna .
