The main goals of the non-profit organization are: To support and represent the interests of the hotel and hospitality industry in relation to EU institutions. Improving cooperation between national associations.

organization

The general assembly is the highest decision-making body of the association and brings together the representatives of all member associations. In particular, it is responsible for: approving applications for membership and observer status; the election of the President and the Board of Directors; the approval of the annual financial statements and the determination of the budget; changing the statutes and the statutes of the association; the adoption of HOTREC position papers.

The General Assembly usually makes decisions by consensus. The meeting takes place twice a year, with the member associations taking turns hosting the General Assembly on a rotating schedule.

The executive committee is responsible for the administration of the association. It consists of nine members who are elected by the General Assembly for a term of two years. The meetings of the board are chaired by the president and prepared by the managing director.

The secretariat, based in Brussels, is responsible for day-to-day organization. The secretariat is led by the managing director.
