The Haßbach , also: Hasbach , is a 6.327 km long orographically left tributary of the Ruhr in the North Rhine-Westphalian Arnsberg , for the most part as a border stream between the districts of Voßwinkel and Bachum . The stream rises on the western side of the Zuhangeberg north of Holzen or south of Vosswinkel at an altitude of 260 m above sea level. NN and flows in a northerly direction at 147 m above sea level. NN in the Ruhr.
The stream overcomes a height difference of 113 m on its way, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 17.9 ‰ over a length of 6.327 km. The brook drains over the Ruhr and the Rhine to the North Sea .

Large parts of the stream are located in the Luerwald nature reserve or are designated as protected landscape components. The lower reaches are protected as a landscape protection area.
