geography
course
The Haßsiefen rises to 407 m south of the Hofschaft Lienkamp and flowing south first piped downhill. It receives its inflow from a right inflow that rises in a pond at the same height west of the main source. Another inlet comes from the left, then the stream is dammed into two ponds. After crossing under the state road L97, the stream flows into the Wipper at an altitude of 374 m west of Holzwipper in the 21 hectare nature reserve Wipperaue Eulenbecke (identification: GM-077, CDDA code: 344819).
Catchment area
The Haßsiefen catchment area is drained into the North Sea via the Wupper and Rhine .
It borders
- in the north to that of the Gelber Ahbach , a tributary of the Lingese
- in the east to that of the Wipper tributary Zimmerberger Bach
- and in the northwest to that of the Brandbach tributary Rottlandsiefen .
Coniferous forest dominates in the west, while fields and meadows alternate in the east. The Hofschaft Lienkamp in the north is the only settlement.
