Hadrut ( Armenian Հադրութ ; also Hadrout or Gadrut ) is a city in the Xocavənd district in Azerbaijan .

The city has been occupied by the Armenian army since the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 1992 and administered by the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic . In this it is the capital of the Hadrut province . It previously belonged to the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region , which was dissolved by the Azerbaijani government in 1991.

According to Karabakh, the city had 2,770 inhabitants in 2005. In the city there is a museum dedicated to local history and culture.
