The Port of Miami (also Dante B. Fascell Port of Miami ) is a seaport in Miami in the US state of Florida . The port facilities are located in Biscayne Bay on the artificial island of Dodge Island on the Atlantic and were massively expanded in 1960.

The port is the largest in Florida and one of the eleven largest container ports in the United States. It has also been the largest cruise port in the world for many years. In 2012 the port was used by around 3.77 million passengers. At the same time, around 8.1 million tons of freight were handled, which corresponds to around 0.9 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). The port area corresponds to the size of the island and is 522 acres , i.e. about 211 hectares .

In the past, the port facilities were connected to the road network via State Road 886 . In August 2014, however, the new Port Miami Tunnel was opened, which is a 1.21 km long submarine connection from the MacArthur Causeway directly to the island. This relieved the heavy traffic in downtown Miami.

Port manager is Bill Johnson.
