Mark Hafnar (born April 11, 2002 ) is a Slovenian ski jumper .

Career

Mark Hafnar started internationally for the first time on March 7, 2017 in Hinterzarten in the Alpencup , where he finished 25th. Since then he has regularly participated in Alpine Cup competitions; so far (as of February 2020) he has won two Alpine Cup competitions, namely the two competitions in Oberstdorf on January 10 and 11, 2020.

On January 20 and 21, 2018, Hafnar made his debut in the FIS Cup in Planica and on August 16 and 17, 2019 in the Czech Frenštát pod Radhoštěm in the Continental Cup , where he finished 29th and 13th.

In January 2020 he took part in the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne and won the silver medal in the individual competition on the normal hill behind Marco Wörgötter and ahead of David Haagen .

In the 2019/20 season, Hafnar achieved his best Continental Cup placement to date and his first podium in the Continental Cup at the Continental Cup competitions in Val di Fiemme on February 22 and 23, 2020 with a third place on the second day of the competition .
