Hage Geingob Cup

The Hage Geingob Cup ( English Hage Geingob Cup ) is a since 2014 been registered football - cup competition in Namibia. It is named after the third and current (as of November 2018) President of Namibia , Hage Geingob , and is held in his honor.

The respective winners are shown in bold.

Mode 2014–2016

Four club teams were used for the two events in 2014 and 2015 . In addition to the reigning champions , one or two other Namibian teams, selected by the fans via SMS , and one or two teams from neighboring countries took part by invitation. The tournament always took place in August.

Modus since 2017

The tournament for national soccer teams has been taking place since 2017 . In addition to the Namibian national soccer team , another national team takes part by invitation. The game is recognized by FIFA as an official friendly match . It is always held in November.
