Hagensche Villa
The Hagensche or von Hagensche Villa , which was built for Christian Friedrich Leopold vom Hagen in 1907/1908, is located in Augustusweg 105 in the Oberlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . The villa , which is a listed building along with the enclosure, was designed by the architect Oskar Menzel . The building is also called Villa Erdmannsdorff after the later owners .
description
The larger, two-storey and “picturesquely grouped” country house consists of a main structure with a risalit and hipped roof as well as several additions with gable roofs or mansard roofs . Turn on one of the extensions is a convex state bay . The plastered building stands in a spacious park area. Its enclosure consists of wooden fence panels on a stone wall .
The entrance porch in the street view has a round arch under a concave-convex roof, there is the family coat of arms of the von Hagen family . The street view is structured by pilasters , several windows of different sizes are grouped together.
history
In 1907, Lieutenant Colonel Christian Friedrich Leopold Freiherr vom Hagen applied for a house to be built. According to the design by the architect Oskar Menzel , the new building was completed by September 1908.
The property was later owned by Lieutenant Colonel Hans von Erdmannsdorff .
During the GDR era, the Lotte Rotholz children's home was housed there, which was moved to the Villa Wach at Augustusweg 62 in 1974 .
Today the building is used by its owners as a law firm.
