Hager's Encyclopedia of Medicines and Drugs
Hager's Encyclopedia of Drugs and Drugs (formerly Hager's Handbook of Pharmaceutical Practice ) is an alphabetical reference work for pharmacy . It was first published by Hermann Hager in 1875 . Further editions of the Springer publishing house (Berlin, Heidelberg and New York) were published by Rudolf Hänsel , also by Paul Heinz List and Ludwig Hörhammer, and most recently by Wolfgang Blaschek .
The last printed edition comprised 17 volumes with monographs on 5,500 substances and 4,190 drugs. An edition is currently being published on DVD by Springer Science + Business Media .
The abbreviations HH2 and HH3 used in medical circles represent the respective editions.
