Haidenkofen is a district of the Wallersdorf market in the Lower Bavarian district of Dingolfing-Landau . Until 1972 it formed an independent municipality.

location

The village of Haidenkofen, which should not be confused with the district of Sünching of the same name in the Gäuboden , is about three kilometers west of Wallersdorf and a little northwest of Haidlfing .

history

The first documentary evidence shows that the Regensburg monastery owned property in Heitenchoven in 1145 and 1183 . In 1397 Eberhart der Falkenstainer was called to Haitenkofen . Haidenkofen formed a Hofmark belonging to the Landau nursing court , which had been in the hands of the von Plank family since the middle of the 18th century. In the conscription year 1752 the place consisted of 25 properties. The ruined castle, which is no longer there today, is mentioned in several documents.

The Hofmark Haidenkofen became the basis of the Haidenkofen community in the Landau district court in the 19th century. In 1883, four people and fifty cattle and horses were killed in a fire disaster. Six houses, all outbuildings and the church fell victim to the flames. In 1925 Haidenkofen got the electricity. In 1949, Father Clarenz Hornberger, born in Haidenkofen, was made an honorary citizen of the community.

After the formation of the district offices, the community belonged to the district office of Landau and from 1939 to the district of Landau an der Isar . As part of the regional reform , the municipality of Haidenkofen was incorporated into the large municipality of Wallersdorf in the district of Dingolfing-Landau on January 1, 1972.
