Hajo Düchting

Hajo Düchting (born April 18, 1949 in Düsseldorf ; † May 3, 2017 in Dießen am Ammersee ) was a German art historian , author , painter , museum educator and art lecturer.

life and work

From 1975 to 1981 Hajo Düchting studied art history, philosophy and archeology in Munich. In 1981 he received his doctorate with a thesis on Robert Delaunay's window pictures and since 1984 has been teaching at various universities. He lived in Dießen am Ammersee in Bavaria .

He devoted himself to painting in theory and practice, published numerous works on art history, in particular many artist monographs on modernity, on colors and on the relationship between painting and music.
