Hal Riddle
William Harold Riddle (born December 11, 1919 in Fulton , Kentucky - † June 17, 2009 in Woodland Hills , California ) was an American actor and memorabilia collector.
Life
Riddle, who has been collecting film memorabilia since the age of eleven - he received a signed photo of Billie Dove - and had one of the largest collections of his own, began his acting career at the Summer Theater in Philadelphia . Between 1958 and 1992 he played over forty roles on television and on screen; In 1963 he made a Broadway appearance.
The friendship with Billie Dove lasted until her death; he also gave the funeral address at her funeral.
In 2001 he bequeathed his 1,700-piece collection to Murray State University in Kentucky .
