Haldenkapelle in Unterapfeldorf

The so-called Haldenkapelle in Unterapfeldorf , a district of the municipality of Apfeldorf in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech , was built in 1816. The chapel at Kapellenweg 8 is a protected architectural monument .

The single-nave saddle roof building with a small tower was built at a different location based on the model of the demolished dump chapel from 1739/40. The roof turrets , windows, altar and prayer stools were reused from the old chapel .

The choir adjoins the two- bay nave with arched windows and a flat ceiling with a three-eighth closure . On the west side there is a pillarless gallery .

The rococo altar with four twisted columns has wooden sculptures of Wiesheiland and Saints Joseph and Georg .
