Halfway Island (from English freely translated Island on Halfway ) is a small island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 4 km northwest of Litchfield Island in the entrance to Wylie Bay in the southwest of Anvers Island .
The Royal Navy Hydrographic Unit carried out surveys between 1956 and 1957. The island owes its name to the fact that it is halfway between Arthur Harbor and Cape Monaco .
