Halschany or Golschany ( Belarusian Гальшаны / Halschany ; Russian Гольшаны / Golschany ; Polish Holszany , Lithuanian Alšėnai ) is a village in northwestern Belarus , Hrodsenskaja Woblasz , near the border with Lithuania .

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1280. Originally located in Poland, it came to Russia with the third partition of Poland in 1795 , back to Poland ( Second Polish Republic ) in 1920 and to the Belarusian SSR within the Soviet Union in 1939 . 1941-1944 the place was occupied by German troops.
